A refund request must be made in the form of a support ticket after you cancel your hosting. 6. . 11. ACCEPTABLE USE church revolution provides the customer with a flexible and powerful web hosting, e-mail and ftp services. Our services can be utilised in many ways to promote the customer's organisation. However, Church Revolution prohibits all of the following: - SPAM/Unsolicited Commercial E-mail: SPAM/UCE is one of the internet's biggest concerns, and is a tremendous waste of bandwidth and server resources, and is often very offensive in content. Net Pathways will not tolerate a customer who engages in such activity. If the customer hosts mailing lists, or sends e-mails to multiple recipients, double opt-in procedures must be used to ensure that all recipients have specifically requested such mailings, and have an easy method for opting out of such mailings. The customer acknowledges that this restriction applies not only to the customer, but to all additional mailboxes created by the customer for its web site, and to resold sites. The customer must not provide mailboxes to individuals without informing such individuals of this policy.
- Insecure Scripts: Scripts installed by the customer, whether manually or through provided automated installation features, must be kept up to date by the customer for security purposes. If a customer's site is compromised in a manner which allows outgoing spam to be sent or phishing pages to be uploaded, and the customer could have prevented the compromise with a script update, service may be terminated without notice.
- Hacking: Customer must not attempt to breach the security of or disrupt the use of our systems, nor use our services as an aid to breaching the security or disrupting the service of any other internet entity.
- Illegal/Obscene Materials: Customer must not host content which is illegal, obscene, or hateful on its website, or which promotes illegal behavior or substances. Customer cannot diseminate or communicate via e-mail, content which is illegal, obscene or hateful. We trust that based on the audience we serve, this will not be a problem, but it deserves mentioning.
- FormMail Scripts: Due to the insecure nature of most form mail scripts available on the internet, we do not allow any script named formmail.pl, formmail.cgi or formmail.php to run on customer sites. The only allowable scripts are Jack's FormMail script, which is installable from your control panel, and the NMS Form Mail Script, available at http://nms-cgi.sourceforge.net/scripts.shtml. Note that these two scripts are named mailform.pl or mailform.php, so you will have to rename them to use them.
- Other Exploitable Scripts: If we discover a script on a customer site which has an exploit allowing spammers to hijack the customer's mail server, or allows malicious code or content to be uploaded to the customer's site, we reserve the right to remove the script immediately.
- Eggdrop: We do not allow eggdrop or similar bots on our servers, as it is a potential target for hackers and denial of service attacks.
Violation of this policy will result in an investigation and possible immediate service termination. If the customer is found to be responsible for unacceptable use or abuse, through insecure and/or outdated scripts, or other poor security practices, the customer will be charged $50 per hour, with a one hour minimum, for all investigation and clean up work performed by Net Pathways on behalf of Church Revolution. --End of Document--
